This is a painting commissioned by a German collector. He had already purchased a stacked stone themed piece and was looking for two more to “keep it company”. My only guideline was to create two more pieces that incorporated the elements of sky and water. But this one morphed into one that included all of the elements – earth, water, air, wood, metal, air and fire (in the volcano). A most elemental painting of a very zen and feng shui nature. Now one of my favorites in this theme.
